Swords Celtic 1-5 BCFC (Sun)
The best performance of the season so far from the Sunday side saw Scotty's men run out deserved 5-1 winners on Sunday out in Swords. From the off Bangor looked dangerous, with Aaron Coleman slipping Foxy through early on, only for the skipper's shot to miss by a whisker. Foxy didn't have to wait long to break the deadlock though as Aaron Robinson picked up a loose ball and played him through, and this time the finish was precise and Bangor were 1-0 up after 10 minutes. The second arrived soon after, following great work by full back Lee Murray down the left, beating 3 men before playing a clever ball to Lar in space in the box, and Lar curled home to make it 2-0. Luke made it 3-0 with a good finish just before half time. Swords had a spell of pressure early in the second half, with Jamie Douglas forced into a brilliant reaction save from a close range header. Bangor got back on top though and made it 4-0 when good work from Deco Murtagh down the right saw Aaron Coleman presented with a tap in to get his first Bangor goal. Swords got one back with a header from a corner before Lar rounded off the win with a good finish after the returning Al Curry played him through on goal.
The win moves the Sunday lads up to 4th with games in hand on the front runners. Next up is Broadford away on Friday night.
