BCFC 2 - 0 Usher Celtic (Sunday)
Goals from Aaron "McGeady" Coleman and Al Curry got the Sunday side off to a good start to the preseason as the BCFC beat a strong Usher Celtic side on Sunday morning in the school.
The first goal arrived after Aaron Coleman finished off a good move involving impressive young left full Lee Murray and Lar Dunne. The second came early in the second half after Aaron was taken down in the box and Al Curry put away the penalty well.
Bangor could have had more in the second half, while at the other end Congo made a couple of excellent saves to keep the clean sheet intact.
It was a tough game with some robust tackles going in and a couple of outbreaks of handbags, but all in all it was a great workout to blow off the cobwebs, and it was great to see excellent performances from new players like Dec Murtagh, Aaron Coleman, Lee Murray, Ryan Doolan and Cian Fadden.
Also good to see Eric the appendix McGill back in action.
Next up is two games againt Collinstown Saturday and Sunday sides next weekend
